I bought a used wrangler a few weeks ago. I downloaded the Jeep app but a car has never shown up in the app and I dont know how to add one. When I log onto the mopar website it shows my wrangler.

Has anyone had this trouble?

You have to call the Jeep Services number they provide to get it up there for a free trial. I recently purchased a used Jeep as well and that's what they told me to do.

You have to pay to be connected to the Jeep App?

Yes. You get a free trial for a certain period. I don’t remember how long. It’s sort of like XM radio, you have to pay for the services. The free trail gives you a chance to see if you like it or not.

You should be able to add the vehicle to your garage thru the menu (top left) with your VIN.

The service for location, remote start, lock, unlock etc is all thru SiriusXM Guardian and is pretty pricey. Depending on package it's between $15-50 a month. If you don't pay for it, the services are removed from the app so you can't even see it. The only thing you can do is schedule service at your preferred dealer and view Jeep Wave benefits, if any. Otherwise, there is nothing there.

My app is almost completely blank with no place to add anything. Maybe it’s cause Sirius is expired?

Yea, when the subscription expires, they remove it from the app until you pay for it again. I don't pay for it, or any SiriusXM product. I have my own issues with them as a company, so I refuse to support them. I've had my Jeep since October of 2023, and I never once even tuned the radio to a SiriusXM channel.

So none of those features you mentioned like remote start, will not work if you do not subscribe to SiriusXM?? That is so bogus as you pay more for those features when buying a new or used Jeep which many of us want but do not want to subscribe to SiriusXM for inferior audio quality for music.

If you can see your jeep on the website then you can see it in the app. Even without connected services. Might be a silly question but are you using the same log in info for the website and app?

SiriusXM doesn't give you those features. It's an additional subscription called something like Connected Services.

Yes, that is correct. The remote start, lock/unlock, vehicle locator, geofencing and speed monitoring are ALL under subscription to SiriusXM. If you don't pay for it, they remove the functionality from the Jeep app. You may be able to see your Jeep as having been added to your garage in the app, but you will have zero functionality. Without the subscription, the app is pretty pointless.

Wow, that really sucks. Thank you for the info. That will save me some cash until they pull their head out and separate these features from SiriusXM.
