It's just a few "gee whiz" screens that you can view on the Uconnect screen instead of the instrument cluster. Right now they are working on the instrument cluster, but not on the Uconnect screen. It's aggravating, but in the grand scheme of things it's not a big deal, like getting cancer or something. Enjoy your Rubicon. What is an offroad package? Is this Mopar accessories? Is this the "hard rock" or other various special editions? What does offroad mean? I ordered a Rubicon
What would lead you to believe the folks in Jeep chat have their shit together? They respond quickly to order status requests and we all know how that goes.So I just used the CHAT online to get an update on my JLUR - still in D status - 3 weeks in. And then I asked about the Off-Road pages and here is the chat below! So it will be available once launched as a software update. So everyone can calm down - it's coming. He was very quick to reply with the answer - like in 20 seconds - which makes me feel like he had been briefed on the issue by FCA and they now have a proper response to they customers. I know I'm not cancelling my order!!![]()
No explanation for why 2018 models can’t get it makes any real sense. I mainly wanted to point out that it’s a possibility.Still makes no sense. If FCA is eliminating off road pages due to an accuracy issue, they would be doing so to remove a potential liability. If that same information remains on the instrument cluster, the liability remains and FCA achieves nothing - except for generating an irate customer base.
I agree, we really don't have a clear message, my thoughts is that they feel they will be ready with 2019MY, won't be advertising or selling them anymore for now for the 2018MY but I feel the 2018 will get the update when sorted. Hoping they confirm this shortly instead of letting us all steam overWith all the double-talk of JeepCares and UConnect, do we really "know" anything about off-road pages other than they get removed when the vehicle is prepped at the dealer?
If so, they would need to remove them from the driver's cluster as well and they haven't yet.Still makes no sense.
