I too try to buy US made whenever possible. However, US branded products built overseas are typically made to US specifications and are only cheaper due to labor costs not lower quality.

Does Japan count? Norco bottle jacks are made there, US distributor.

fwiw these days I'll look for things made in the US, Japan or Taiwan - the latter mostly because they piss Xi off to no end.

Paying slave wages to abused workers is the primary problem, not the quality of their plastic junk.
