I don't believe anyone has posted axle weights so I wanted to share my results. Few things to note; the jeep was completely empty, it has the stock MT tires vs the AT tires (+50lbs all added up), the tank was just under 7/8ths. Last thing to note is scale location: In the picture where the 392 is on two scales, regardless how it looks in the picture, there is a line on the body under the front doors below the front side of the door handles. That line was perfectly lined up on both sides with the space in-between the two scales. It was placed there from a very slow roll and no backing up not to mess with weight distribution (took 4 tried to get it perfect). When I got back home and measured, I was two inches further on the front axle scale (which is only 1 inch from centered).

Results the Wrangler 392 came in at 5160 lbs, both on single scale and on two separate scales to get weight distribution.
Front axle: 2780 lbs
Rear axle: 2380 lbs

I was interested about it's weight while I'm still piecing together my build, hope this will help some others.

Very cool. That is actually a little lighter than I would have guessed.
Would love to know how much my 2 door with 2.0 weighs but no scales near me.
sweet rig by the way!

OP, can you post a picture of the payload (tire) sticker on your door jamb? Does it say 850lbs max weight of occupants and cargo?

Camera wouldn't focus well for me but as requested, it does have 850lbs as listed cargo weight.

That is really not too bad, my 2021 JLUR fully loaded, and I mean really fully loaded, with 3.6l e-Torque, A/T tires, and SOT is 4900lbs. The difference in weight is all over the front axle which is surprising considering it has the HEMI and more on the hood. One slight difference is that I had a full tank of gas, minus the half-mile drive from the gas station to the weigh station.

Front Axle - 2520
Rear Axle - 2380
Total Weight 4900

My sticker says GVW of 5800lbs which technically leaves 900lbs for people/cargo but the sticker says 850lbs. I have yet to see a JLU sticker which lists more than 850lbs for a Wrangler, we have had 4 in various configurations and they all listed the same payload. A diesel I looked at was also 850lbs payload.

Thank you. I am convinced that Jeep is putting 850lbs as max payload on every 4-door Wrangler, regardless of the actual curb weight and MGVW for an individual vehicle.

I have another thread on this, and every single sticker I have seen says 850lbs on a JLU. (mostly looked at Rubicons - but mis of 2.0, diesel, 4xe, etc).

I have no idea why they do this. The payload should be based on an individual vehicle options, GVWR. Sounds sloppy and maybe they just went with the worst case payload of all the JLUs to save 2c on the stickers.

That is almost exactly the same as a JLUR diesel. I suspect any suspension listed as a diesel suspension will work perfectly for the 392. Great information, thank you for posting!

This is great info.
You have a Sarge 392? Discontinued color, that will be an exceptionally rare bird.
