we need a carrier for the Jl I hate driving around with an empty gate because of no spare. I dont want to use a relocation bracket as I need it to hold the weight of a 37" tire and hefty wheels. Also need to be able to still use back up camera. Any chance this will become available for the JL?

I love their slim rear bumper, but nearly $2400 for the bumper and carrier....
I know the price is steep but the look is awesome. I think everyone's so high right now because the options are so limited. Really though they're only 2 or 300 off anyone else with the carrier and they have a camera relocation bracket.

Not a fan of the relocation bracket. If you need to use the spare tire it looks like you need to unbolt the brake light to start. That camera is also exposed and when mounting the spare tire I can see smashing it easily.

You have a point but it's nice to see someone addressing the camera in their setup. Every other one I've seen just ignores it.

Sorry for the late reply, we are playing catch-up after Moab. This exact tire carrier is happening, with a relocation bracket for the license, plate, camera, and third brake light. :like:

Here is a spy shot of a prototype in the wild.

The camera has to go somewhere, and if it's not centered and nearly the same height as it was originally then it's basically worthless as a tool to judge parking distance. Pulling the plate mount and camera only takes a few minutes, and how often do you use your spare tire?

I use my spare in my regular tire rotation maintenance so it would be often enough that I would have concerns with what you do with the third brake light and camera when removing / installing spare. From a picture you cannot tell. It looks like I would have hanging wires that I need to fish through the wheel with the exposed camera when removing. I am not sure since it is only a single still shot. This was the concern looking at it with no information.

What about the collision avoidance sensors in the stock rear bumper?

We have provisions for all of the sensors in the stock bumper.

Awesome news for sure, as the carriers are very limited right now, and the ones that are available are outrageously over priced in my opinion. If this stays where the jk version is priced at, I think you have a winner in the market. I have been considering the Mopar reinforcement bracket, so I can mount my spare, but I just cant bring myself to do it at that price point for what it is.

JcrOffroad, This will still be body mounted, right?

Price will be slightly higher than the JK version because we include the license plate relocation bracket, and engineering was certainly more work than the JK. But not outrageously by any means.

The carrier mounts to the bumper AND to the tailgate. Sorry, I only quickly glanced at your first post and assumed we were talking about the shield carrier. The body mount style carrier is still up in the air from us.
