By all means, take your rolling computer into water deep enough to need a snorkel. Hint: you're gonna have a bad time.

I know what it's for(kinda) but can someone please explain why the huge snorkel??

Do people really drive in water depths that are up to the windshield?

Looks good. My wife’s Range Rover has a fording depth of over 35 inches. The JL can only ford 30 inches. A snorkel can make the difference in whether or not you hydrolock your engine.

Snorkels are also useful on dusty trails or in groups where the Jeep is literally breathing crap from folks in front of you. You'd be surprised how much moving the air intake up to the windshield makes a difference. I was replacing air filters way more often on my JK until I installed a snorkel.

Took it to a shop, they charged me 3 hours/labor, i was not going to take a chance trying to cut the hood myself

I had the aev one on my jk. I’ll never cut a hood again!! It came out good, just didn’t like cutting the hood and it was one of those mods you couldn’t simply undo

I would suggest taking the little strip of red lettering from the last part of the N off just beyond the entry of the snorkel. would give it a cleaner look.
