I just wanted to say "thank you" to this forum for helping me learn about, understand and deal with issues regarding my new JLU Rubi. Especially with my recent "explosive" experience, this forum has provided useful, insightful information delivered with grace and humor. I have learned a lot already and look forward to continuing to benefit from this rich forum.

Good Jeepin' to you all!
Thanks.

This is a great place to share knowledge and even learn together. You’ll pay it forward at some point too, and goes around comes back around. I am sure your appreciation will be well-received by many and more than enough repayment for helpful hints and tips on the JL you have received thus far. It’s always nice to get a thank you!

Hardly do I consider some of the DIYs I've put on the forum the end all be all of Wrangler hacks, but I can attest to motivation for doing so being my wish to say thanks to the board and its members for all I've learned here.

Yes, this is the least toxic online forum I have seen in quite a while.

Lol just wait until someone calls their Jeep a car..
Yep, that could get nasty! But just like the Jeep community in “real life,” this forum is overall very positive and helpful. Every once in a while there might be a little impatience for a newb question or something like that, but not often that I see. Really enjoy the vibe here

This forum is a breath of fresh air compared to almost every other forum out there. Not perfect as there are a few trolls, especially a couple who don’t own or plan to own a JL and only seem to exist to incite anger, but overall extremely friendly, helpful, and forgiving of repeated questions. I’ve only been a member for a short time and a reader for just a bit longer but am glad to be here. Now if my JL would just get delivered.

The “ignore” feature is wonderful and makes the forum even more enjoyable.

I haven’t had to ignore anyone yet. I actually enjoy reading a good debate sometimes, but not when it turns childish and the name calling starts. Luckily our moderators usually handle that pretty fast.

And we plan to keep it that way! Users who troll, incite or insult can be dealt with by hitting the REPORT button on their post(s). We review all reported posts carefully.

I actually did ignore one last week and love that feature. I have rarely done that on any board but this particular user offers zero useful input on this board and I didn't want to read his rhetoric anymore. I'm surprised he's still here but I think he likes being a jerk.

I have heard JKers refer to the JLU's as 'soccer mom mini-vans.'

I believe it is really envy that drives such sneers.

That’s not even original. That was said about the JKs when they came out.

I was just thinking the other day about how these forums are so valuable now days. Vehicles are largely turning into rolling computers, and many times the owners know more about them than the service departments do, simply because of how much information and knowledge is shared on the forum. A good example is the issue with the dual battery system, PCR, ESS, and various other things. The dealerships are scratching their heads trying to figure out faults, and all the while there are detailed schematics and battery wiring diagrams posted here to this forum. It's a great resource.
