I recently bought a used JL hard top, and this is what it looks like. Is this a factory headline or aftermarket?

Im not sure. It looks like the trim around the rear windows are covered and I don’t believe the factory covers that area, but I might be wrong.

I just got mine in July 2022 and the sides around the rear windows are covered.

OK so the factory headliner is $525. This Coverking headliner cost me $299. It is thinker and covers much more space. Why would anybody pay $525 for the small factory headliner?

I do think it’s weird that the area above the back roll bar is not filled in though. I placed my order with dealership ship to have made so it wasn’t one sitting on the lot. The area above my speakers at front roll bar is filled in. I’ve looked on line at different companies that make headliners and some do fill in this area but I guess the factory doesn’t. Unless they do but peeps at dealership take them off.

Only reason I have it is because it was on it already from the showroom. Definitely wouldn't choose it over the competition. As a side note, I plan to add the coverking to my Jeep to replace the factory design.

I thought the factory headliner would be a lot more than it is. I guess most people probably thought so too...

Yes! It seems to be how things go these days. I did notice that when you go through the option selections when building it out there are many items that you can purchase elsewhere for less that are just as good value if not better than what they offer and for less money. Examples, side bar(step), floor mats, gas cap cover, headliners…..😆
