Is this the air-bag sticking out of my steering wheel ?

Just picked up my new JLUR less than 48 hours ago.
After I walked drove it back home, I noticed something really strange ... see pic.
Is this part of the air bag sticking out of the steering wheel ???
What else could it be? Any thoughts?

Air bag would be my guess as well. I don't have anything like that peeking out.

Can you post a bigger overall picture of the steering wheel? That would be very odd if it was the airbag because of the way they are wrapped up in the steering wheel

Looks like a piece of the shipping plastic to me.

I'm with BigJImSlade, looks more like plastic than the air bag material.
