I just noticed this today. All my handles seem to have quite a bit of play.

Not normal, but hopefully an easy fix. Seems like it would just be something that needs to be tightened.

FWIW, mine is new and does the same thing. I assumed it was normal. Not sure what would need to be tightened.

I just checked the passenger door and it does the same as well. I'm not sure it isn't normal to allow a little give vertically. Everything snaps back nice and tight.

That unfortunately is the exact same thing on my brand new 2022 High Tide. Never even questioned it until this post lol. Now it’s going to irk me. Lol

Yea it’s not the normal tighten. May send it in since it’s under warranty to at least have piece of mine. I just legit never really noticed it until today

If you do, please let us know if they say it's normal or no.

If you pull the tape off the upper hole in the latch side of the door you can fix it yourself. Undo the screw inside (Torx #25) and you can take out the block from the rear of the handle. Then it will allow you to either pull the handle back and out, or push it forward farther into the assembly. Replace the block and tighten the screw again

Mine do it as well. looking at the way the assembly moves when opening, it looks like it was made to be that way. Definitely would be odd to have all four doors on multiple vehicles react the exact same way. What would be the odds of that many being incorrect in the exact same way?

What NJJeep Guy said. Most of the door latch mechanisms use a cable that may or may not be cut the correct length, and they will eventually stretch, so that’s why There is a way to adjust the Handel. Also, these cables eventually snap. Had that happen on my 2013, but the part is cheap so you can replace it yourself. Takes some doing because after you pull the Inside panel you have to disconnect the window lift motor. It’s a pain.

My 2018 does it. I just thought it was normal Jeep lack of quality. Not worried about it, the door handles have not fallen off yet.
