You can get a rubber boot for that so you don't have to try and seal the wires.

Yes that's the one I used. I drilled small hole and cut slit to middle and ran cable and then put mine back in place. Will keep water out if it gets blown that far inward. I didn't want to leave hole.

I had to go through it for Oracle side lights. Just put some RTVon it when finished.

In case anyone is wondering, that hole is usually where the clutch pedal linkage passed through the firewall. So those of us with automatics can run easily run wires into the cabin. The Daystar universal boot that @dpike pictures above works great!

So, I got the pod lights installed, ran the wires through the engine compartment, zip-tied them, and ran the wires through the plug in the firewall. I sealed around the wires with some silicon caulk/glue. It was all pretty easy for an ”old and disabled” guy!

The pod lights are super-bright, and I saved a ton of money getting them through Amazon and installing them myself (compared to my last Jeep, when I bought US- made pod lights and had a shop install them).
