Is there supposed to be Engine Cover on 2023 Willys Sport?

Quick question on new 23 Willys Sport. Is there supposed to be an engine cover? In other pics I see the Jeep 3.6 badge on protective covers.

That is an air intake plenum, the cover looks just like the worthless piece of plastic it is. Below is a picture of mine, I keep it on to make sure folks know I have a classic JL.

Afaik, they stopped including the engine cover on the 3.6L in late MY'22 and all of MY'23.

@AllMoparParts.com put together a full kit if that's something you want. Otherwise, when you go in for your free Jeep Wave oil changes, they'll probably get confused and think you have the 392 or the diesel

well I save 2 pounds off the front end for not having those dead weight. which means I get 2 thousandth more ground clearance!

Yeah, but at least that's a lot more reasonable than the original price of the kit when it was initially $235. Still haven't decided if I really care enough to buy one, but I've certainly spent a lot more on stupider things. I'm actually half-tempted to buy one and send a bill to Jeep to reimburse me for the part they "forgot"
