Is there film protection on the over fender in the back from the factory?

Clear Bra. I had it installed higher on the rear fender than comes stock. Any installer can do it easily.

Oh, I see.

When I was test driving JLs, I noticed protection film over the rear fenders of the 2-door Rubicons. The 4-doors didn’t have it from what I recall.

My 4-door Sahara doesn’t have it, but it came with those wide side steps, which protect the sides of Jeep from flying debris.

I have a JLR and buddy JLUR which we got within weeks of each other. We both have on the rear fenders facing forward is 3M film. We both put some 3M film on the door sills as in my several other Jeeps the door sills get trashed, chipped up etc.

Since I have kids, they like to climb in the rear off of the back tire when my JLR roof is off all summer. The 3m clear paint protection film is 6 inch wide and had plenty. I was thinking of doing the top of my painted front fenders but only have 6 inch wide.

Mine came with it on both rear fender flares from the factory on my factory ordered JLUR (four door).

Im creating the same thing for Sahara fenders too, for those of us upgrading our tires. Also, I have PPF for my hinges and door handle cups too. They work great!

My 2018 JLUR did not come with the film, and I have the plastic rear fenders, running the 33"KO 2 tires. They kick up a lot of rocks via the tread design, so I optioned to purchase the Sahara running boards to help mitigate the rock throwing until I rag these tires out. Yes, I still have the rock rails and they are practically new. Might keep the running boards due to wife's knee issues. Jury still out. lol. Glad I did not opt for the painted fenders as these would be ruined right now due to the factory tires. ---just saying...things you might want to consider along the way in addition to the 3 M film.
