Even Toyota thinks that EVs isn’t the future 🤷‍♂️
...

Not true: https://www.toyota.com/bz4x/

For a while they resisted going full electric (they have been selling Plug-in hybrids for a while now). Now they are following the trend with the bZ4X.
I think Toyota is wisely investing in both electric and hydrogen tech.

At this point, it’s impossible to know which technology might be beta-max’ed. A reliable solid-state battery would tilt thing in favor of electric, but a cheap hydrogen solution would do the same for fuel cells.

The winner is still in doubt…or perhaps both will find success in different market segments?

Sounds like a fairy tail, butt carry on

Looks like you scraped the forum and compiled a list of utter 💩
I owned a 2021 4XE for a total of 6 months before trading it in on a 21 392. I'm also a dealer tech, and did the recalls/RRTs myself. The first years had/have an insane amount of RRTs and recalls as is normal with any first model year vehicle. Even the current 23s are getting constant recalls and RRTs. I've got one in the shop today for 2 recalls and 3 RRTs. Four flashes total (IDCM, BPCM, HCP/AHCP, TCM), water pump bolts, and the fuse inspection.

Keep on that 4XE hype though, I'll see you when you stop by on a rollback

Yes all cars are disposable, besides the select few that will be around in 40 years and classics. Well never mind the way governments control every aspect of life these days you will not be allowed to own a classic just visit them in nationalized museums. 😳

How many of those are actual 4xe specific?

So you are compiling a list of various issues and claiming all 4xe are affected.

Luckily it appears my dealership have competent techs.

I didn't have any issues with my first year 2007 JK, nor my 2018 JL, and neither my currently 2021 4xe.

They were all Friday builds BTW

Issues =/= recalls/rrts

They're there to *prevent* an issue from occurring. The 2021 issues were rectified with the 2022s, and as it goes on problems are found and fixed. I'm happy you've had nothing but luck with your 4XE. They're great when they work. I'm personally not a fan of a vehicle getting new recalls or RRTs on a nearly monthly basis.

Why not give us a complete list of these 4xe recalls and RRT that are happening monthly, then everyone will know you are not just making 💩 up.

This is a list of all the recalls effecting all 2023 JL wranglers. Out 11 total, 5 are 4XE specific. Note, these are only *recalls* and not the laundry list of RRTs which are VIN specific and I'd need a vin to check history on them. RRTs aren't outright listed like recalls are.

So not as dramatic as you make it out to be, like I said, I went in once January 2023 since I bought the 4xe in November 2021, because of the Zb7, and they did a few other things at the same time.

Seems from forum posts, the majority of 4xe problems stem from unqualified techs working on the vehicle, and not following basic instructions.

dealerships need to clean house and hire competent techs.

I get a chuckle each time the thread title appears in the feed and I answer in my head "yes."

No, they're not big issues. The point is you're constantly in the dealer for them. Some people don't like making time out of their schedule for unexpected service.

And you're very uniformed if you think they can just "clean house". The automotive technician industry is losing on average 50k people a year as the older generation retire and fresh blood is looking elsewhere. A lot of the labor time for 4XE (and other phev repairs) is god awful, and it's no surprise techs want to avoid those jobs. Good techs are literally un-fireable. You can't replace them. I've got one transmission guy at my shop whose 3+ months backlogged and no matter how hard they look they can't find a second guy to hire to help reduce the work load. I don't touch that work because it pays like ass under warranty and isn't worth the time to bother learning it. Certified techs who know what they're doing are a rare bunch. It isn't as simple as you make it out to be.
