I'm running a 2018 JLUR with stock suspension, 35 inch KO2s on Mopar beadlocks. My friend is running a 2018 Sport S with same exact tire size, only difference is he added the Mopar 2 inch lift to his rig yesterday.

WHY does my rig look so low - I thought the JLUR stock was higher than stock Sport S? Expected his rig to be taller but not THIS much of a difference.

Wildly upset - if wasn't for the fact my JLUR lives in a garage in NYC and doesn't fit with a lift I'd be running 37s on 2 inch lift right now.

Yeah that seems different than my experience. Here’s my JLU Sport on 35s next to a stock Rubicon. They were about the same height. Mine a little taller but if the JLUR had 35s it should be the same or taller.

Does mopar do lifts in other sizes or just 2 inches? I cannot believe how tall his rig is compared to mine now

I got 3.5 inches of lift with my 2”Mopar lift on my jlur . The stock rubi is only 1/2 “ roughly higher than the other models from suspension, however the 33s gives it a little more height. And the high line fenders makes it appear higher yet.

Like I said - very bummed. I used to make fun of him for his stock suspension and what I called “28s” now my JLUR with 35 looks like - I don’t even want to think about it

I got about 2 1/2 inches out of mine on my Rubicon. Some people claim to of gotten 3 1/2 inches out of the Mopar two inch lIft. It has a lot to do with the weight of your jeep. I have the hard top, mopar perfomance rock rails, and factory steel bumpers on mine along with 35 inch tires and after market wheels with a Warn 10 s platinum winch and winch plate on the front with a bull bar and Mopar lights. With plastic bumpers, soft top, no rock rails of any type and stock wheel and tire on the back and no winch you might get three or 3 1/2 inches out of it.

I hear you on the weight just crazy steel bumpers vs plastic would make that much of a difference? I’m running the fan tech shelf in back as well maybe 75-100 pounds but for all if to mean 1-2 inches in difference is crazy.

For instance, even with 35s on my JLUR I’ve never had to CLIMB info it where my friends Sport S with the setup I’m literally climbing into.

Nominally 35" KO2's are barely 34". Measure the diameter of both your tires and your friend's tires, and then measure the distance from ground to the body on both.

(B2-B1)-[(T2-T1)/2]=L

Where:
B2=distance from ground to sport body
B1-distance from ground to your rubicon body
T2=tire diameter on the sport
T1=tire diameter on the rubicon
L=the amount of lift the sport has over your rubicon's stock suspension.

I had heard several times that the 2" Mopar lift is more like 3 1/2".
Then I was at the dealership the other day and they had just put lift on a JLU. The service mgr said it was a Mopar 2" lift. It was way over 2". Said they had put 35's on it, then put 37's on it to make it look right.

I agree with that - I thought the “35 inch” KO2s were massive when they first put them on but they don’t look as big as his 35s. I don’t think I’d go bigger with stock height right now anyways so they’ve been fine but do agree

This was his rig right after the lift was installed - compared to stock it is much more than 2 inches. I didn’t do the install but guys that did said it was over 3 inches in added height.

I'm now curious and would love to see what the measurements are.

Most people I’ve seen on forums said “35 inch” KO2s are 34 inches and change. I think the size I’m running is 315/70/17 where his tires are listed as “35” on side wall

You have photos? It’s so weird because compared to stock 33s the 315/70 looks so, so much bigger and people told me they were true 35s now keep reading they’re 34 or less - how can less than an inch of tire be so much larger?
