On the JK there were end caps that you could install. I think at some point down the road the aftermarket will have some options.

i'm sure some of us that ordered the steel bumpers will be selling them off to install a real steel bumper at some point. so there should be plenty come available.

With the fog lights at the edge, it'd be really hard to do right. The JK made it easier with the fogs in the middle.

The metal bumper that can be ordered by mopar or come on some of the Rubicon can be made into a stubby. The plastic ones cannot

Not at all a pain. Takes just minutes to remove and reinstall both ends. Maybe a little wiggling to pop them off after removing the bolts, and to line up the holes for reinstalling. Less effort and time than changing the oil and filter, which is pretty simple in itself.

One would burn more calories by bringing the garbage cans down to the curb.
