Is Dark Harbor Blue going to be a new JL color? (POLL included)

At EJS this year, Jeep showed the 4xe Departure concept.

It is painted in a color called Dark Harbor Blue. EJS often previews new JL colors. What do you think of Dark Harbor?

That’s an excellent blue!! Not super bright, not dark enough to be ignored, not common in the automotive landscape, just great all around. No color alone is enough to make me sell my 2019 Ocean Blue but if that had been available I would have gotten it instead.

I agree. I wouldn’t ditch my current JL for this, but I’d definitely order it for my next one if it were available. Really balanced, beautiful blue IMO.

That is a beautiful blue right there. I am not huge on blue either, Ocean was the better to me over the years but I think that one beats Ocean by a bit.

It seems close enough to my favorite Bikini Pearl to be a good choice. Just wish my favorite colors were available when I had to finalize my JL order. At the time Nacho was the only available bright color, so Nacho is what I have. But this would be an awesome possibility for a wrap or a respray on my JK. (I'd spend the money on those before I'd replace the whole vehicle.)

I like it a lot, but I can say with near 100% confidence that Jeep wont offer it by the time I order my next one. Honest question, why does Jeep do this?? There are several colors that have been offered in the JL since 2019 that I would have taken over my current but were not available at the time I ordered. Is it really that they aren't popular enough?

I ordered a 23 JLU Willys XR in Sting Gray back in December, and picked it up the middle of this month (I've got less than 500 miles on it so far). I considered blue, but didn't like the blue Jeep was offering. This blue I like - it does kinda look like a retro blue. Would I have ordered mine in this Dark Harbor Blue had it been available when I ordered my JLU? Quite possibly.

Years ago I’d have traded in my current Wrangler for a new one just based on a new color I wanted.

But not any more. Wranglers have become way too expensive, Jeep quality too sketchy, and dealers too painful to keep doing it.

I like it more than hydro. Wouldn’t get rid of my current Jeep for it, but if I were ordering one it would be on my list. Especially if it could come with bright orange seats!

That blue is awesome! Not sure I could give up my snazzberry for it, but it definitely gives it a run for its money.
