Absolutely not. That is damage, not caused by manufacturing defect or workmanship. Fort insurance claims, it would be listed as "other than collision".

I don’t believe so, but depending on which state you’re in and insurance company you have, you may be able to get one for “no charge”.
My policy has just such has a zero deductible on glass. (FCA won't pay on this.) Should I break my windshield though , whether it's in my best interest to file a claim and risk higher rates or being cancelled, and instead save such reporting for the really expensive stuff I might incur someday, I would have to decide at the time.

I'd also consider saying to the insurance company, "would you pay for the basic glass that was in the windshield and let me pay the additional amount to bring me up to the Gorilla glass?"

Reporting cracks for replacement on average of 1.5x per year for 20years on my TJ hasnt raised my rate or gotten me cancelled

A cracked windshield and a hole in your radiator is part of the Jeep life.

And don’t think for a second this will be your first cracked windshield. If you keep your vehicles for a long time, you will be replacing that baby several times.

Just got windshield cracked on highway, 300miles.. is that covered by warrenty?
Nice try! :cwl:
Add zero deductible for glass on your insurance policy and you will never have out of pocket expense on windshield replacement.
