Like the title says, is 2.5 the biggest body that will fit on a JL?
If someone is running a FOX or KING 2.5, can you share some insight.
Where are the clearance issues (if any)

I am running the Fox 2.5 4"-6" shocks front and rear. There are a couple issues to be aware of. On full droop, if you are using the full 12" of travel the shock body will hit the frame. This can be fixed by moving the bottom shock mount out 1-2". I used the Metalcloak bracket to do this. I also had to trim the back of the shock tower flange because the axle moved back far enough that the shock body made contact. The shocks work really well you will just need to flex it out and see where your contact points are.

Any idea what the collapsed & extended lengths are on your shocks?

Rancho shocks are 2.75” body.
They are installed upside down with the boot on top like stock shocks.

Thanks for the input Sierrarock. I was wondering if 2.5 was probably the largest shock body without getting into some serius clearance issues.
