iPhone CarPlay AUDIO Not Working on Incoming Calls

I'm wondering if anyone else has been experiencing this:

Lately, whenever I get an incoming call and accept it in my radio's CarPlay interface, the call AUDIO does not connect through the radio. In order to hear the caller, and for them to hear me, I have to manually pick up my phone and put it to my ear (or manually change the audio on the iPhone to speaker).

I am using a CarPlay2Air wireless adapter, and have been since last summer without this issue, so am wondering if it may be related to a recent iOS update. I have an iPhone 11 running iOS v14.4.

I was experiencing something similar with my iPhone connected via a USB cable. I had to pick up the phone to have a conversation as I couldn't hear the caller.

Turns out the volume was set to zero for phone calls. Once I upped the volume using the steering wheel controls, I now talk to people normally. Doh.!!!

Try Car Play wired and see if the same thing happens. That should help determine if the CarPlay2Air is the issue.
