The whole black rubber part will pop out. Easiest if you start at the lower corner. Also the top elongated portion removes by itself also. It has clips on the inside that you use the trim removal tool to insert under the edge of the rubber part and firmly pry outward to release the clips. Must go all the way around. Clips are located at various points around to hold it in snub.
