Hello All!!!
Boy...miss a week while acclimating your new puppy and you come back to several hundred pages to try to catch up on. I still have 130 pages to go to get here to this post. LOL

On the puppy front...he is doing AWESOME!!! Crate training last week went very well...He spent 4-5 hrs in his crate in the morning, we took a break for lunch, then back in his crate for 3-4 hrs in the afternoon. We had a few accidents but he is getting better at telling me that he needs to go out...in his own way. This week, he is locked up in his crate all day. Yesterday, he went all day (5am-3:30pm) without pottying in his crate...and he is only 8 weeks old!!

He and our other dog are getting along great! She is an older Chihuahua and can be testy at times...but she will get outside and play with him. She is SO much faster than him...he is usually left standing there dumbfounded while she runs past.

This is our doggy area. They (will) have access to the doggy door when he gets a little older. Right now, he stays in his crate until he is a little older. The crate has a potty area in the back of it so he can relieve himself if necessary.

His name is Cooper. Figured since he is a Blue Heeler & Catahoula (dad) and Red Heeler & Australian Cattle Dog (mom) he needed an Australian type name.

Charlie was almost named Cooper. I think its a good name. Rusty was my choice though.

Yeah, it was a sad day.

I got to stand under the work awning and watch as just larger than actual golf balls of ice crashed down. One guy made the mistake of running from his car to get to the building. He thought the hail was going to go through his roof. :surprised:

So I asked, "If it was going to go through your roof, what did you think it would do to your head?" He was bleeding pretty bad.

May 2017.
