I’m pretty sure, to be safe if you reach out to @Rock Krawler Suspension they’ll tell you for sure. Opinions vary , but they’ve been great with me. They’ll answer whatever questions you might have.

Ok, great. Thanks. It was bought in December of last year. New enough?
If you have silver set screws on your joints, you have the new raceways and will take up to a NLGI#2 grease. I prefer to use #1

If you have black oxide set screws, it will require the old NLGI#000 grease.

That sucks that your installer skipped a step but the fitting that you ordered should allow access without the notch being cut.

May be a dumb question but couldn’t you change to a 45 or 90 degree zerk?
With the location of the zerk hole in the krawler joint and the shape of the factory bracket, you'd likely still not get in there without cutting the bracket. The 90 degree fitting on a grease gun is pretty low profile and will still get there.
