After seeing a couple weld failures with the stock track bar mount, I decided to beef mine up with the Rusty’s track bar mount bracket. Easy install:

Does the center bolt in the middle of the frame brace serve a purpose at all? Can't tell if it screws into the OEM bracket? The one below the top 4 frame bolts and above the track bar bolt...

Yes, it bolts to the oem bracket for extra strength. Probably don’t need it but it’s easy to put in if you have a swivel socket extension.

How is that done? That hole in the OEM bracket is not threaded.

With a nut. With the track bar disconnected, you can reach in with the nut. You do have to tighten it after the track bar is in place and that requires a socket with a swivel extension.

No drilling or riv nuts. Super easy bolt on. The one nut and bolt in the middle can be a little hard to get the socket on the inside.

Cool. Wonder if that bracket would be strong enough on its own if the welds broke.

So if it bolts to the OEM bracket, do you have to cut part of the OEM bracket off? Or does the track bar bolt to both the OEM and Rusty's bracket?

Just installed this bracket, fits tight and was easy. gives me some piece of mind. @tmakaro did you have to adjust your steering wheel? Mine was off about 7degrees to the left.

Two quick questions ...1) did you / do you have to grind away some of the weld to make it fit flush? and 2) would upgrading bolts help make this bracket stronger?

No grinding, it uses the factory bolts except for the track bar bolt. Rusty’s supplies a new longer bolt. I did have to adjust my steering wheel. It was about 7 degrees off. Easy fix. I think this is a great upgrade and pretty cheap.

i realize it uses the factory bolts...just wondering if upgrading bolts (grade 8 maybe) would make this even better or safer
