This happened to me this weekend when I picked up my brand new 2022 JLUXR driving from dealer in TN to Dallas. It started to make noise at 50 miles mark in the trip. When I got home (730 miles), a piece of it is gone. It was very annoying noise. @JeepCares is it under warranty?

Well, you guys are right, Utah wind is a beast, my passenger side started rubbing driving from Moab to Colorado at 75 mph, temperature was like 100 again, I see the same Christmas tree clip on the passenger side started failing, needless to say, this is definitely a design flaw

Same, part on order, no questions asked.

Adding photo for posterity's sake.

I see this thread is three years old, but nothing has changed. Just noticed this same issue on mine. Stock suspension and tires. January 22 build.

See what your local dealer/service person says. He should change it. They didn’t ask me any questions. He looked and ordered it right away and they installed the second day. I bought my Jeep out of state. No issues.

Sure, the dealer can and should replace them under warranty but guess what? The replacement will blow out just the same as the original-for some crazy reason Jeep hasn’t acknowledged that this is a design flaw and corrected the problem in production

Follow up on the issue, I finally got a chance to take my rubicon in today, the dealership declined the warranty work because I cut the fender liner to temporarily fix the problem, and if I took it in still rubbing, they would cover it, I argued that it’s a stock wrangler and I was on a highway driving normally, I heard the rubbing and I had to cut it to prevent further damage, what if it broke the tire and cause an accident? The rep still said it’s because I tempered the fender liner, they can’t tell if it’s because I cut it that caused the rubbing issue, smh, called Jeep Customer Service and explained the situation, the rep says it should be covered under warranty, they will reach out to the dealership, let’s see what happens, my dealership also said if they decline the warranty, there would be a $298 diagnostic fee, $870 for total work. Btw my dealership is Hudson Jeep on NJ-440 in Jersey City.

...great big hassle! Hoping for the best. I didn't cut mine but it tore off pretty clean. No questions asked from dealership, just awaiting the part for a warranty repair.

Good luck...

Well, I took my Jeep back without the fix, now Jeep customer service says that because I cut the fender to prevent it from further damage, they will not cover it, totally different response as I got from yesterday, @JeepCares , if this is how you treat customers, I guess this would give me no confidence buying another jeep again

Thank you for the info, I called Jeep Customer Service again, a different rep is working with the dealership to get it fixed, she said I’ll need to pay for the repair, then Jeep will reimburse me, let’s see if this actually happens

Thats weird the guy that handled mine said we will get the inner fender in a get it taken care of for you. Never said anything about paying. Try calling this dealer I took mine to , I know probably not the same state but warranty issues should be the same. Performance Jeep and Chrysler +1 937-434-9500

Funny, I just noticed mine is like this today. I noticed one of the threaded bolts were loose and upon closer inspection I'm missing the lower front 6" of liner.

Do you have the TSB number associated with this?
