Inner fender - is this ok?

Is this normal or ok. It seems that the inner fender liner should be covering this, no? This is the passenger front wheel well.

It's been quite some time since mine was still stock, but I remember my plastic liners being tucked behind the spring perch and only hanging down a bit below the upper shock mounting bolts.

Right, right... so if I’m understanding you guys correctly, I should look into some aftermarket fender liners... welp, that’s all the convincing I need, new fender liners it is.
