For future reference, what’s the biggest tire size I can go with the AT Mickey”s while keeping stock Rubi wheels? Just thinking, I will go with these once my KO2”s need changing. Thx in advance.

I've put about 500 miles on the tires so far. Pretty impressed with how quiet they are especially without the top and doors on. I briefly took it off road in wet loose sand. The tires did well. I have yet to drive it on wet pavement. Overall, I really like the tires.

Is anyone running the 35 12.5 17 on the stock Rubicon wheels? With no lift? Any rubbing?

Got my 35” MIckeyThompson AT Boss tires over a month ago on my 2021 JLUR 2.0T non eTorque auto. In true MickeyThompson fashion they are providing excellent in handling both on and off road. Ride at 30psi is ok (D rated) not great, but not bad either.

The one area I have found interesting is in MPG. Though listed in all the information as AT tires they suck fuel like MT tires. Something not expected given my prior MickeyThompson ATZ P3 hybrid AT/MT tires in 35s on my 3.6 auto JKU did not have as noticeable of mpg loss. The Boss must have a higher coefficient of friction coupled with MT like wide tread blocks. My average MPG dropped by 4 mpg at highway speeds (65-70 mph). Compared to my 2020 JLUR with BFG KO2 35” tires I only saw a 1.5 mpg loss under similar driving. Both my 2021 and 2020 share the 4:10 gearing and trans.

So now my 2021 has similar mpg to my 2020 and slightly better then my 13 JLU. Not upset just find it interesting.

Here is my 2021 JLUR with 35” AT Boss tires on stock rims and 2” lift.

I just got my 35” Baja boss A/t’s put on and also noticed the drop in mpg. It seems like there’s more resistance. I’m assuming it’s from the weight. They are listed at 72 pounds. The 315 ko2 is about 63 pounds and the stock rubicon ko2 is about 50 pounds.

Here are the photos before and after. First of all, these 35x12.5r17, are not 35s. Not even close. I measured them and they are just 34” tires. Not even close to the 34.5” they advertise on the MT website. This is just the same scam subway was doing with the footlong sandwiches that were just measuring 10-11”. Just be honest. Advertise the real tire size. Other than that I am very happy with them. They handle well, no difference from stock in terms of ride quality. I updated the tire size to 34.99 with the tazer and it shifts good and it shifts to 8th gear. I wonder if I should just set the tire size to 34” with the tazer since that’s the true measurement.

Yes, plenty of space with the plastic bumper but now rubs a little after swapping to a OEM steel bumper. If this was a true 35” tire I would not fit with the OEM steel bumper, this tires just measures 34”.

I also lost MPGs with these tires and I don’t drive that spirited.

Anybody have true measurements on the 295s? Wanna swap my 285KO2s, and wondering the diff between them.

I'm curious how much of a drop in fuel economy others are seeing. I'm thinking of switching from my current Duratracs to these tires but the extra 10lbs per tire makes me wonder how much of a hit I'd take on economy.
