Hi everyone- I am having a random issue where my infotainment will continuously touch itself. I haven't been able to find a way to reset it, but it is pretty infrequent and I can't figure out what sets it off. It might have something to do with Android Auto, but it's happened without having my phone plugged in. See video to see some nonsense. It's at the Jeep dealer now and they don't have any idea about it.

THIS happened to my info unit as well. I seated ALL of my fuses under the hood and ALL has been good since (last fall). Itā€™s worth a shot!

Interesting... I tried resetting all my fuses as well for a different issue (Service Staility control warning- turns out it was going off because of a vacuum leak in the brake system I believe).

Trying to get the dealer to acknowledge the issue before warranty goes up!

There have been a few posts about these ghost touches but there never really seems to be a fix associated with them. You can check to see if a hard or soft restart of the the Uconnect system helps alleviate the issue, but that tactic can come with its own host of problems with the GPS (some get stuck as showing Toledo, OH). Most often, ghost touches are indicators of bad touchscreen units and the best option is a new screen which is the same solution when it happens to phones and tablets.

Fingers crossed you get it in while under warranty.

Ah, makes sense. I'll see if I can talk them into swapping into a new unit!

Please let us know via private message if you decide to have your dealer look into this. We would like to have this documented and have a case escalated on your behalf so a Case Specialist can work with your dealer to help find a potential solution.

Hello Alison,

I wanted to ask if this is a recall on the 2018 model for the larger option touch screen. I am having the same issues and wanted to make sure that this is covered. Also my lcd screen showing gas mileage readings has been blacking out randomly and this has occurred since I have received the new Wrangler off the lot. I thought that the fuses were not properly seeded, but I have since proven that not to be the case. Any idea on how to fix this?

Thanks,
Alan Grissom

I am having this same issue, but it has developed into the ghost touch being frequent. Is there anything that can be done?
