They haven’t. A few examples Below. I’d say it’s the worst at the tailgate hinges and under the rail along the cargo area of the tub. It’s not corrosion, just a really shitty paint job.

I don’t plan on doing anything yet about it. Its not noticeable to anyone unless you’re looking for it. I’ll keep an eye on it. If it causes corrosion issues, I’ll take it in.

FCA’s paint dept and quality control is absolute garbage. I found issues on my color matched hard top and returned the vehicle the following business day for another one.

I swear, the very FIRST batch of JLs they ran on the production line at the end of 2017 are the only ones that Jeep seemed to have gotten right.

It's not just FCA. I work for a Tier 3 supplier of front and rear facias and frankly it's garbage across the board. The orange peel is freaking AWEFUL on everything we make, and it HAS to be to be acceptable to the OEM's.

My brand new BMW ($90k) had significantly worse paint issues than described here. I think it’s more common with FCA but it seems like overall, paint jobs are trash from manufacturers. My ‘19 had quite a few imperfections but it was better than I thought it would have been. That said — that color matched hard top example is terrible. Also Porsche is notoriously bad as well.

Havent found a bad spot on my 18 JLU yet. other than the dozen pin strips over the last two years i've gotten. i would get it in to be fixed asap. the warranties for paint suck
