Hi there! I found out about this site because over the last two years I've lived on the Bronco 6g site that basically cloned itself from you guys. I'm on the cusp of owning my first Ford Bronco which will be delivered in a month. Before you flay me I will say I've been a life long Jeep fan and owner.
I've owned some sort of Wrangler for over 20 years until about two years ago. I sold my Wrangler, a 1989 YJ, to my buddy so I could be allowed to buy an M998. Over the last two years I've truly regretted selling the Jeep. I went to visit it a month ago and I asked my buddy if I could buy it back because it's been neglected since I sold it to him. He has never changed the oil in two years. He let's it sit in a barn with rats, which have been destroying the interior and had one hell of a nest in the engine bay, and never takes it out on the road. He has agreed to let me buy it back and once I take possession of it I'll complete the trifecta of open air/door removable vehicles. (Once the Bronco arrives)
The Humvee would never have existed if it weren't for the Jeep. Hell, the Humvee's grille and lights are in honor of the Jeep's heritage. And the 6G Bronco would never have existed if it weren't for the commercial success of the Wrangler. If you ever see me on the road I'll always wave at a Wrangler/Gladiator, Bronco or Humvee. Despite the thumbs down I may get or the middle finger I've received I choose to embrace the love of all removable door vehicles.
If you look closely in the pic above you will see my son, Henry. He cries if I don't pick him up from daycare in the Humvee. He points out any Bronco, Baby Bronco or Jeep on the road and is probably even more passionate about these vehicles than I am.
This picture was in the early 2000's where my roommate, Brother and I all had matching Jeeps. There's a lack of 4x4 trails in our area but we had some really great mudding holes where we'd take these things to. Unfortunately, I don't have many pictures from those days. This was all pre-iPhone. But this is one of the pics I do have. Unfortuanly I don't have any pics of my original 1990 that was totaled by my little brother while I was away at college. But it was nearly identical to my 89 but without the graphics.
