I need to replace the rear locker on my JLUR... Well not really, I could just wait until May for a part, but that is not going to work for me.

What would you suggest?

I have had ARBS on my last two Jeeps. Never let me down.

I've had ARBs as well. I think I replaced an o-ring once on a dana 30 and the metal air tube on a ford 9". The metal tube replacement was really more of an install issue as it was hitting the ring gear and eventually wore through.

ARB is a pretty simple design too. ARB is also used by many racers so they have a "hard core" community that help them keep quality high.

Remember that you can't just swap lockers, you must swap axle shafts as well.

Anything Eaton. Since the electric lockers are simpler and you are already wired for it then that would be my choice.

Not quite correct. Both are electric (obviously) but wiring is completely different. You'll need the Tazer Z Locker Controller.
If you want something better than stock you'll want something other than Eaton.

Yes I know you need an adapter. However Eaton is a solid choice and they make an E-locker for the Dana axles.

So where I am at now. I am trying to find a stock locker anywhere in the US, or I am putting a one ton axle on the Jeep, if I can get one before I leave.

I may also buy another full axle and take the part off that I need. Order the part that I need and then sell the new axle when I return.

None of these are great options. There is a stock Dana 44 local to me for sale for $2200 that I may buy out of desperation and pull the part I need.

This is not what I needed before leaving on a big trip. 11 1/2 months of travel and 20,000 miles. But hey better to fix it in the driveway than the highway.

Have you considered a semifloat 60 as a replacement? There are a few manufacturers offering these, but I haven't looked into what's available right now. It would be an upgrade from a 44, but less expensive than a full ton swap, and they fit your current wheels.
