Been reading that the Mopar 2” lift has had terrible issues on the JL.

so, what is better choice for less than $1500?

The Mopar lift has been updated 2 or 3 times.

Thats easily obtainable.

AEV 2.5 inch RT Sport - #1 in your price range.
https://www.northridge4x4.com/part/2-5in-lifts/n0724100aa-aev-2-5in-dualsport-rt-suspension-system

Comes with Links, geometry correction brackets, coils, shocks, and even a snapcal for Speedo calibration. Pretty much a full package.

I think this is probably the most amount of stuff (quality parts) you can get in your price range.

There are other kits with more parts but I doubt they have AEV's build quality. No maintenance needed either.

Kasey,

Here's my Mopar 2.5" (almost 3) with 35s. Absolutely love em. Zero issues other than very slight front axel offset to the left.

Handles great both on and off-road. I'm sure you can find better, but not likely at the same price.

But lifting is like religion to some. I just wanted something very functional to ride on 35" rubber without killing my wallet.

For me mission accomplished.

Jay

it looks like I may not be able to swap the bilstien shocks out on the AEV kit.

since the Mopar kit has been upgraded several times, and has the 2.5” shocks now, with front control arms, would it be best to run this and get a set of geo correction brackets and rear lower control arms?

I already planned on getting a different steering stabilizer and adjustable track bars when funds allow.

Hey guys, just wanted advice. 2 years ago I installed the rancho 9000 series adjustable shocks with the 2” lift to start out with on my JLU, then I slowly installed steel rear bumper and last week the smittybilt XRC gen3 spare tire carrier, anyways with all the weight the rear is sagging a bit, would you recommend just getting longer shocks or coilovers? Any suggestions would be helpful, thanks
