I think I'd be more concerned that my Jeep is upside down than I would about identifying the parts I see :)

#1 is the muffler
#2 is the resonator or catalytic converter if you will
#3 are the exhaust manifold flanges ... that's where the exhaust pipes bolt on.

#2 is just a resonator
#3 is the two catalytic converters, above the flanges you called out

The only thing I have left on my JLUR is the CATs #3, started with smashing the muffler so I took that off and went with a delete. Then I cut the resonator out because I didn't like the tingy sound that it made. Then I didn't like rattle from the 2.5" straight pipe so, I took it to one of the good ole boys in WV when I was working there and for a cool $80 he custom bent a 3" straight pipe for me. Now it has a deeper rumble.... So I am just left with #3s and as soon as I can find a tune to get rid of them I will go back to good ole boy and for another $50 he will custom bend me 3" down pipes to match the exhaust that I now have.

Won’t you start getting codes after you remove the catalytic converters...?

That's why I said I was looking for a tune.
