Was lookomg under my seat and noticed this “plug.” It is on the right side (side closest to center console). Any idea what it is? Thx!

On my Jeep this plugs into a group of wires and connections under the seat. I have heated seats but the wiring under the seat is pretty extensive…. I am guessing it relates to other options on my Jeep also…

I have the same in mine. Don't know what it's for. I do have heated seats so I don't think it's related to that.

Current consensus on the forum seems to be that the plug is for diagnostics during assembly, and is is left unused thereafter.

Personal opinion: probably to patch into the seat weight sensors and airbags.

Please check old posts, but continue to research and update any new findings.
