The infamous Blendmount Blackvue mirror mount does not fit the JL 2019 mirror. So I'm not sure now how to mount the Blackvue DR590W 2CH dashcam to the mirror. I want to avoid sticking it to the folding windshield.

Another possible way is on the dashboard but it obstructs the driver's view unless I mount it low enough but then the hood will be dominant in the footage.

Thoughts?

Blendmount mount link, but it doesn't fit the JL 2019. I want something like it.

Can't help since I did the Blackvue mounted to the windshield. Probably wouldn't work though if you have the ACC sensor pod up there. I figure if (and that's very doubtful) I lower the windshield I can just disconnect and remove it from the mount.

Good luck!

For perspective, here's the view from where I have mine mounted:

Awesome. Thanks for sharing. I'm tempted to just stick it on the windshield and get it over with.
The back camera was just as easy... if/when I remove the roof I can just pull the cable out of the clips and store it. Won't have a back camera but, as they said in the Gumball Rally (movie)... "What's behind me, it's not important"

Sorry for bringing up an old thread, but is your blackvue hardwired for parking mode? I’m trying to set that up but it looks like I need to get an add a fuse kit but can’t seem to find one online... also not the most tech savvy so please bear w me

Blackvue has a device called “power magic pro” that you can hook up to the camera and it gives you parking mode...nice little kit

I put it behind the mirror, used a rivet thru the plastic to hold the heavy duty Velcro then use a second piece on the Camera. You can not see it but can still remove it if you need to. The heat has in no way bothered it. It looks professional and gives a great view.

hello, do you mind sharing pictures of your install? I am leaning towards mounting the dash cam on the mirror myself

I sent photos, you will see that I used heavy duty Velcro but I also used pop rivets on the upper part of the Velcro so it would not pull away in the heat.
