Hello all, I am looking for some mobile electronic professional help, or anyone that has done the 3x Start iDatalink autostart bypass module.
I installed the iDatalink ADS-ALCA with the RS-CH12 firmware. All wiring was wrapped with either Tessa or electrical tape, and all end connections were soldered. Also, all wiring was triple checked to make sure things were where they were supposed to be.
I also followed the marrying instructions and the video below is where I get stuck. Upon pressing the program button, I will get the green LED flash as you're supposed to, but then I get a series of red Flashes after the Ignition button is pressed twice, then I get the normal rapid LED flash. At that point the instructions call for the module to be disconnected and hooked via USB for programming. This module however came pre programmed from the seller for 3x Start and for the JL, or so they said..
I did try disconnecting the power, then reconnecting and it basically resets the module and I have to start the process over again. The best I can get it to do is the rapid green LED flashing, however it won't go past that point no matter where I put the Ignition button mode, FOB buttons being pressed or any other mode I can think of.
I've done these modules before just never in a JL and this is a first. I am thinking the blinked red before the rapid green flash means something, however I am not sure what that would be but it's obviously some sort of error. Also, I did order the USB programmer for this in case the seller programmed it wrong. I am hoping anyone out here may have any further tips.. Thank you for the help..
