I have a 2024 392 without the aux battery. My OEM battery has NEVER been good, so I replaced it with an Odyssey H7. I have a NOCO 10 and a NOCO 2. I don't drive often so I'd like to hard wire the NOCO cable to the Jeep so I can just plug in without opening the hood.

My question is: With the vehicle having an IBS, do I hook up the NOCO on the battery side of the IBS or the engine side (charging/draw side). I'm thinking it should be on the battery side but want some solid input from the electrical geniuses on this forum ..... Please.

The IBS is always active, even when the vehicle is off. Bypassing the IBS causes blind charging. Basically, what ends up happening is the maintainer will charge the battery, but the IBS won't detect that the battery is being charged, so the battery's actual state of charge (SoC) and the IBS's last recorded battery SoC become unsynchronized, so when you start the vehicle the mismatching information can lead to the vehicle doing funny things.

Everything on my Jeep is run through the IBS, nothing direct to the battery. I have the NOCO hard wired in that way, no issues

Don’t ground it on the ground post. Find another spot. This will take care of the ibs.
