I was missing my JLU...

...because of it's proximity entry option. I can't tell you how many times I grabbed the handle on the JL expecting it to unlock. I didn't think it's available on the Willys unless ordering the half door/full door option, may be wrong. Anyway, I ordered This kit and got it installed in about an hour this afternoon. Used the Tazer to turn on prox entry and it works just like the JLU did. Only did the drivers door, but they have kits for all 3. I'm a happy man now!

Yep. Have a co-worker with a Willys Gladiator. He did the same thing after he saw all of us with the prox option on our JLs. He's also a most happy dude. It really is a great feature that should be standard on all vehicles now...

This was the one feature I really missed out on ordering my '21 JLU Willys. From the 2022 Jeep build page it makes it seem like prox now comes standard? Not sure...

Regardless that doesn't help me now, so I was thinking of adding it on. So you found it wasn't too tough to install after the fact? What about that note for extra connection you have to do with a Sport? Having a Willys is confusing, sometimes you follow Sport directions, sometimes not...

There were no instructions included. I looked it up on YouTube and it went pretty smooth. Not sure what is different on the sport, but the new harness included is an easy install. I only did the drivers door and it unlocks and locks the doors and rear gate.

Thanks so much for posting this and the link. I struggled with the option when buying and just couldn't justify the high expense of multiple doors. The ability to install afterwards like this is a wonderful addition. Thanks again.
