Do you have any idea where the volume was? Seems odd to happen adjusting the base....

It's doubtful that all of your speakers are blown. There's an onboard audio amp that sends the power to all speakers. There may even be a separate amp that powers the sub. Possibly, you can narrow down the faulty sound to either the front or rear or both or just the sub speaker(s). You can pan the sound to the left and right and to the front and back, you can also drop all of your midrange and trebles so that you mainly get low frequencies going to the sound to help you diagnose the problem. I hope that helps. It appears that possibly the power amp may be faulty or has a bad connection. It is time to take it to the dealer tho !

Yes. This happened to me a few days after I bought mine.

If all speakers sound like they are blown..very distorted, just let it sit with the radio off overnite. Or disconnect the positive battery cable for a couple hrs.

I was mortified when it happened on a trip to Ohio. I was jammin pretty loud and they just went. All of them were distorted.

Let it sit overnite and they were fine the next morning.

Hi Everyone, I am new to this forum and thought I should share the steps I took to fix this issue.
  1. While you are outside of the car, unlock the car.
  2. Once inside close the driver side door.
  3. Press only once the Start/Stop button in order to put the car in "ACC" mode.
    1. Once you do this you'll see that the "ACC" lights up in the Start/Stop Engine button.
  4. Press 2 times Start/Stop button. The Start/Stop button will now light up "Off" (the first time you press the button it goes to Run and the second time it goes to Off).
  5. Press and hold the Green Phone and Voice Activation buttons at the same time for 35 seconds.
  6. The infotainment screen may turn off. It is OK if it does or doesn't.
  7. Let go of both buttons.
  8. Open the driver side door for 35 seconds.
  9. Close the driver side door.
  10. Turn on the car and engine.
  11. Test it.
  12. Done.

You might try pulling fuses F11 and F97, wait a minute or two, reinstall. That will fully reboot the UConnect.

I think there's a TSB that might be related to this. Apparently, the speaker connections on the plug under the dash are a bit loose on some Jeeps. The fix was posted on this forum a while back.
