Sorry, it wasnt a JL.
I was driving in my neighborhood, and saw a beautiful 1949 Willys Jeep. It was fully restored, and flawless looking, and looked to be riding on tall skinny tires, with a very mild lift, with the windshield laying flat. The color was Sky Blue, or close to it. No extras cluttering the look, just simple, and stunning. I wish we could get a back to basics Jeep, like that.

Did you ask him why he didn’t get a Rubicon? ;)

I was at work, he was teaching his kid to hit a baseball, and I didn't have time to stop. But, if I see it again, and have time, I will definitely take photos and talk with him.
There is something to be said for simplicity.

It looked better than a Rubicon. Rubicons, in my area, are thick as flies. It seems many high school kids, and soccer moms decide they need them.
A mildly lifted Willys Jeep, on the other hand, will get much more attention.

An old Cj is one of the easiest and least expensive to restore vehicles out there.
