So, following a wheeling trip this weekend, I ended up caught on the interstate with the top in safari mode and the doors off. Was real wet, see below:

The Arm**lite flooring did pretty good, had to pop the drain plugs out to keep the foot wells from becoming swimming pools. But really, this thread is about the M**ar/B*stop soft top not keeping the water out of the J**p. The soft top deck was IN PLACE in safari mode, but still water! I CANNOT believe it. I refuse to believe it. I am choosing to have a dissociative episode rather than believe how badly the M**ar/B*stop top did at keeping the water out.

I'm further enraged - ENRAGED I TELL YOU - at how much road noise is present in the J**p with this configuration (safari mode, no doors). I checked that the top's deck is fully locked in, but still road and wind noise. You'd think the top of such an expensive J**p would be better insulated than this.

My plan is to let the water sit in the J**p for the next 3 or 4 years and then I'll reach out to B*stop and see if they'll overnight me some new unrusty floor panels in a medium size manila envelope. I'm sure this will solve both the water and noise issues, and if they don't comply with my request I'll be sure to make a snotty post again to try and shame them into compliance.

You are right this is totally unacceptable on both J**p and Be*t*ps part to have let you down that way. They both know that the owners of Wrangler are going to remove their windows and doors why dont they add something to keep you from getting wet!!!

I think the owner's manual says to fold down the windshield so that the rain just blows through the J**P instead of collecting inside. :giggle:

The windshield would have made no difference. The rain was coming from the sky, not the car in front of me. My top was up. Even in safari mode the top deck should protect the J**p from the sky. Plainly a design issue they don't want to own up to.

You need to contact the Corporate guy at Stelantis that is going to watch a youtube video and decide to change the whole culture of Jeep on a whim.

Before you fall off the deep end, there are a couple of things you can check:

1. Is your catch can full?
2. Did you get the XR flares for your fenders?
3. What brand of gear oil are you running?
4. Is your turn signal stalk extension installed properly?

Edit: it’s probably the aux battery.

I have checked and all of my fuses are seated and have slathered them in Amsoil

I should definitely monetize my shaming of J**p

I am sure a polite letter will result in new floor panels to assuage your wetness. Shipping will be $12,567.89, however.

Unacceptable to charge so much these days, with a company that size, it's highway robbery!

That's a splendid idea. Perhaps afterwords he can meet us at Uwharrie to show us how to wheel our Jeeps.

Could really have used that this weekend FOR SURE!!
