The cascades have plenty of small towns. When my sister was out there we visited Omak, and another Swiss town that I don't recall the name, very nice places. The Cascades are unbelievable. We went in august and were walking on a glacier in shorts. Very unique place. On the Pacific side of the cascades it is lush green, once you go over the mountain on the other side, there is nothing but dessert. Looks like the OLD WEST. Very cool. That's where Omak is. You have to go the Omak Stampede. Also on the roadsides in August huge blackberries are plentiful for the taking.
Great place, I'm jealous.
This is great! I havenā€™t been out to the cascade yet, but me and a few coworker are planning a Jeep and 4Runner trip up there very soon. We just got done doing a trail that starts in Mt. Vernon and comes out near Concrete. Iā€™m interested in going east like you mentioned. I would like to do an overland trip out that way and I will visit Omak!

Next weekend it looks like weā€™re doing a Baker Lake/Mt baker trip. And also some pre elk hunting season scouting.

Hey Yaā€™ll,

I havenā€™t been able to come on the forum lately, been busy getting settled into Washington St. and I was out on a trail the day after the Jeep was back from the shop.

All repairs are finished and itā€™s looking good as new, Iā€™ll post pics below.

Since picking up the Jeep, I added KO2s immediately. Learned my limitations and know what Iā€™m looking for with my build. Iā€™ll add before and after photos and can answer any question if you all are curious about fitment on stock wheel, rubicon lift etc.

I am keeping a active YouTube channel to record my adventures up in beautiful Washington St. So far I have one video showing a recent trail me and a few buddies went on. I have another video coming up that shows more off-roading as well as camping, cooking, and sleeping out of the Jeep.

I want to thank you all for the great advice youā€™ve given throughout this thread. Itā€™s been a journey and Iā€™m happy itā€™s repaired and Iā€™m back on the trails.

If any of you are interested in checking out my YouTube channel, it is: Getz Outdoor.

PS: The Pinyon Trail Jeep badge is mounted. šŸ˜‰

That second-to-last pic with the KO2s installed in awesome. Clean and simple.

Glad you were able to get it all fixed up and boy do you have a story to go along with it!

Nice, looks great. Did they replace the hard top? Or did they fix it?

Bigger tires in the stock steel wheels is always a good look.

Great end to this thread, so glad you got it looking great again, and nice tire upgrade!

IMO you should wear that badge of honor around your neck, and with pride!

That was some pretty bad rock rash. The fact that you got it fixed tells me you dont plan on making that a habit. I guess we've all done things we regret. I'm fixing the paint on my truck from a mistake I made chosing to go down a trail that was overgrown. It's costing me hundreds in equipment and supplies and many hours of work.
