I have been looking at different brands for a while. Although Edelbrock seems to have the best overall package and tune, the loss of the oil fill cap is a non-starter for me.

Iā€™m going to be honest with you, that literally never crossed my mind. I didnā€™t even realize it was no longer there. How am I supposed ti put oil in it now? šŸ˜‚ I guess the dip stick?

I had an Edelbrock blower on the Pentastar in my JKR. Swapping the OEM intake to an S&B intake allowed a bit of blower whine into the cabin. Not sure it would do as much on the JL platform since the cabin is more insulated than the JK was, but thought you might be interested.

Thanks for heads up, I will check into that.

You have to pull the oil filter cap (guessing you know that). On any other engine, it would not be an issue, but with a plastic body filter housing, the less I use that cap the better.

Thanks for the video, the elde is the way to go out of the box if you dont want to play with tuning. I didnt know about loosing the oil fill either, don't see it as an issue though. I haven't read or experienced oil loss/burning so no need to constantly fill up..

Thanks for sharing! I donā€™t see much content from those who install these kits, so it was nice to watch. Seems like a respectable increase given everything youā€™ve added to your Jeep.

How has the SC been performing now that youā€™ve had it installed for awhile? Any engine troubles? I read that someone with a magnuson SC blew their motor after 22,000 miles.

Honestly, that is the consensus on these motors. They donā€™t like boost. Edelbrock definitely seems to be the most conservative kit on the market which is partly why I chose it. If I was 100% going to keep my Jeep forever, I think I would have gone for a hemi swap or maybe even hellcat if I wanted to go nuts, but that gets up into the 60k range not including the Jeep. Probably better off just going 392 and getting AWD anyhow, cause you certainly arenā€™t putting down that power in RWD. As far as Iā€™m aware, my JL is still running strong. I actually ended up trading it and my 21 Range Rover fullsize in on a 21 AMG G 63 that I have an unhealthy obsession with . Haha
