I just picked this up. I’m a little worried that is seems heavy in the front. I pushed it in all the way. Any other recommendations?

Your roof rack cross bars are prob adding a little weight on front. Can you snap a pic of inside showing where you lifted from. The front of TLPro needs to be almost above roll bar (see red on pic). Place the front pads on the cross member of the top just over roll bar. That helps a ton.
Also, is that a older version? The tube opening on top piece were narrower for the JK hardtop and would not sit properly on rear by window. I had same issue and trimmed to accommodate JL top center seam.

There’s 8” space and I picked it up yesterday. Didn’t think about the added weight of the roof rack though. I pushed it in all the way to the red marks in your photo but it still felt front heavy and I was worried it would slide right off of the front.

IMO would try removing roof rack cross bars first just to see if that helps. Also make sure to insert support bars for front. :like:

Do you put the support inserts in when lifting? It doesn’t look like the would fit in between the roll cage and the roof?

No, after removing top. Just gently lift up on front of top and slide support bars in.

If you’re uncomfortable the roof is going to slide than lift it 2” off the Jeep and shake it. Once you’re confident it’s not going anywhere roll the Jeep forward then put on the extension bars. Roll the roof and lift in a lowered position. Once you get to your storage spot place your freedom panels in the bag, lay the bag right on top and as you lift the unit the roof slightly sits back. Close the rear window, done.
