We were at my son's flag football game and a storm blew in. I went and closed my top and saw another JL in Sunrider mode. I fliped the other Jeeps softop closed I never reached inside to close the latches. I would be fine with someone closing my softop. Was it OK to do this or a violation of someone else's property?

Your consideration for your fellow neighbor is admirable.

But be careful, there are lots of lunatics out there these days.

Fortunately, they don’t own Jeeps... 😫

Some years ago, a co-worker raised the top on my MGB just before the rain started. I was working inside and wasn't aware that the clouds had rolled in. I was glad for the assist.

We can only hope that courtesy such as what the OP demonstrated isn't another casualty of this increasingly intolerant world.

Anyone who has an issue with that already has issues.
Assuming you're a fellow Jeeper who closes it correctly and not in some retarded way, which I'm sure applies in this case.

I was out on a hike once, 2 hours away from my parked door-less, top-down JK when the sky opened up. I came back expecting to find a bathtub, but some one had put my top up - and installed all 3 windows!

The only thing I was mad about, was that this jerk didn't drive back to my campsite, get my doors and put them on for me. :)

I think it's super cool what you did. The only thing I think about in this scenario is if they didn't secure the latches before driving away... Even then you typically hear a whistle reminding you to secure them before it's too late (ask me how I know).

Kudos!
