Most of the paint blistering issues seem to be on aluminum body parts and in areas where it looks like water wasn't baked out long enough in the curing oven. The use of water based paints on aluminum is likely the challenge. With steel, makers had their processes pretty well matured, using a galvanize dip on the bare steel prevented water based paints from corroding under the paint. Aluminum is a not as familiar a material for the industry to work with.

On March 1st, mine will celebrate 3 consecutive months being in the shop for multiple botched attempts at fixing this issue.
Might be time to get a Lawyer involved.

At 3 months to fix paint, they are just punishing you for complaining. They are telling you that, if you complain, they will make you wait for your Jeep a long time. Complain again, wait longer. You can get a full paint job in a fraction of that time.
The body shop tried to cut corners the first time they attempted to fix. I told them I was not going to take the vehicle back with chipped hinge bolts.
All of this is happening from horrible paint prep as well as failure to separate two dissimilar metals.

Washed the jeep earlier and found this... ON BOTH DOORS

The drivers door is the worse.... paint is bubbling and flaked off....

Went through this with my dodge RAM with the hood... RAM wouldn't fix it... the truck was 4 years old.... but because I was over the mileage for warranty.. it was a no go....

I am still within the warranty with this one... you can bet I am paying them a visit tomorrow!!!!!
This should be covered under the 5 year warranty for corrosion. It has happened with my 2018 JLU - all 4 doors will be replaced

How are they going to blend the doors to the body if they don’t have the jeep

If it was quite a few years old and quite sun bleached I would have left the jeep there...I am really not too concerned with that.... plus I am assuming that like any other shop, they will zap the paint to get a color match of the original paint already on there.... and I think the silver is the most forgiving color anyways...I mean I can live with a little difference in shade... as long as it's not a drastic difference.....

I am actually at the dealer now getting the doors put on....

I can see the difference but it’s pretty close...assuming the texture is close to original.

I think the difference you see is that the doors are clean and the rest of the jeep is unwashed...lol... it's been raining and misty here for a week...🌧...

Good luck. I had paint issues with my JLUR and '17 Pacifica. Paint issues seem to be prevalent across many brands though (based on personal experience and what I have read).
I blame the new waterbased paint.
