Well I worked on the heap removing the rock lights and old wiring. Also received the new bumper, installed the new fog lights and got them wired in.

I didn’t mount the bumper since the winch needs to be mounted prior to mounting the bumper. Test fit looks good.

I saw that Jeep sale listing on Facebook and posted it to the Show Me Jeep Club, I called it the "son of predator." Nice save, it looks much better. I can understand most of the mods done to Jeeps, but the angry grill just doesn't make sense to me. The grill looks great as it comes from the factory, but to each their own I guess.

Got a ton of new parts added even last night. New fenders, headlights, rings, interior parts, and probably other stuff I’m forgetting. It is starting to look serious now! I love how the fenders came out and the headlights are amazingly bright.

Thank you for fostering/saving this poor beast! You’ve made it look awesome.

Ya know the two things I’ve always disliked people doing to their Jeeps...angry eyes is one. What is it a Mr/Mrs Potato Head? Potatoes are way more aerodynamic to begin with.

The second is removing the seven slot grill. (I could get behind a nine slot grill because there’s at least history there.) Removing the seven slot is just sad in my opinion.

Kudos for a job well done so far!
Interesting fact that my daughter told me: seems she's in about 15 or so different jeep groups (a great portion of the "women jeeper" groups) and she told me that a lot of people are3 getting rid of their "angry grill" as they have issues with overheating. don't know that it's true, but I can see it happening

Hmm, is that a Wrangler?

Seriously though, you're doing an amazing job restoring the pride back to that Jeep. Nice work.

Seriously, Amazon should be banned from selling Jeep parts.

I appreciate all the kind words guys.

I got the Jeep re-geared to 4.56 last week and added a Detroit TruTrac in the rear. My MetalCloak 2.5" Gamechanger is supposed to be delivered today, so I'm pretty pumped about that.

Yeah, that’s looking great. Can you imagine the relief that Jeep feels? Well done.

Love the name. Meanwhile, all the 20 somethings are googling who Rick Flair is.
Add a 60 something to that list.

Well guys a lot has happened in the last few days.

Installed Metal Cloak 2.5” Gamechanger and their Rock Sliders as well. I took it out the next day and got good ol Ric Flair properly pinstriped.

The arms are a thing of beauty. Beef af.

You can see where I didn't do a good job catching the brake fluid on the passenger side.

Ye ole gun safe came in handy to help position the axle with a ratchet strap to get the arms installed.

The last time I installed a lift on a JK the rear was easy....this was actually more difficult than the front this time.

Well I ended up buffing her out and she shines up nice. Wheeling trip yesterday went great, guess I’m kind of a Metal Cloak fan now.

It's like seeing an abused animal before, then seeing it frolicking in a green meadow with it's new, loving family after.

Thank you for taking us on this journey!
