Picked up my new Diesel Rubicon last weekend. Loving the Hydro Blue color. I was thinking about getting Hella Yella but the color was discontinued a couple weeks before I ordered. Factory order from Koons in Tyson's Corner VA (6% below invoice). We were on vacation in NC when it arrived at the dealer, and picked it up on our way home to PA. Very straightforward process - ask for Craig if you're interested in ordering.

I have pretty much your twin (minus body color hard top) on a truck to my house now. I also added gorilla glass and hardtop headliner.

And I sold my 3.6 JLUR to order the Eco-Diesel.
Yea I thought about selling but the amount of taxes I saved outweighed the sale price lol. Plus allows me to keep things I wanted for new one

I wish I held on to mine to trade in. I sold it last October. I probably could have made another 5k now and kept some of the parts with the tax advantage. If I had any clue the market would be like it is now I for sure would have done differently.

Nice I know we were chatting months ago about what we both were going to do. Glad to see you finally got yours. I pick my 392 up in two weeks. Should be at the dealer sooner. I have been nervous about choosing a bold color like hydro blue but I think Iā€™ll love it.

I was just talking to my wife about this exact subject (color). I actually am not fond of it, it really, really shows dirt and water spots bad. I thought it would hide dust etc. fairly well, but it does not. I loved my Punk'n as it always looked good even dusty, this one will not be the same for sure. She asked if I liked it enough to keep, or will be ordering a new color right away... for now im keeping, but have a feeling ill end up swapping after I get some more time with the eco-diesel. it has a lot more exposed belly and critical components under it than the 3.6, so that also worries me a bit. as of now my plan is to hold it until the 2023 MY refresh then swap for another color at least, maybe different engine as well.

Iā€™m getting Expel PPF installed. Hopefully that will help. If you could go back and do it now which color would you have chosen with what was available at the time?

with what was available at time of order... Maybe Stingray or white honestly.

the blue is really, really nice dont get me wrong. but with me spending as much time on the trails as I do the color will be less than ideal. i would also have got the black fenders if i knew.

On an unrelated note... the " New" hardtop is awful. it has a much rougher texture inside and out. inside it is almost like unfinished, and outside has large paint splatter all over and is rough. my other 3 JLURs were not like this at all.

My wife has a Stingray wrangler and I love it. I probably would have chosen that if we didnā€™t already have a wrangler in that color.

My other choice was sarge green as it looks great against the gold 392 accidents. But ultimately I just wanted some thing that popped. Too many neutral colors in my past. One thing I donā€™t like on the non 392 Rubicon is the red color against the Hydro blue. I much prefer the gold accents.

As far as the roof goes, Iā€™m not sure if I can relate, Iā€™ll have to look at my wifeā€™s Sahara. I opted for the sky one touch so we will see how that works out.

I am definitely going to be wheeling this unit. I opted for the full body Expel PPF for that very reason. Dirt, water and trail rash should fair well.

Iā€™m sorry to hear youā€™re not as thrilled.
