Does anyone know if HYDRO BLUE will be available on the JL or JLU anytime soon?

I don't think anyone knows that as yet. They'll change and/or add new colors for 2021 but we don't know what they are. I'd say the first info will probably start leaking out around mid-summer. I wouldn't be surprised to see it in 2021, it was a popular color on the JK. The dealer where I bought my Wrangler has a Hydro Blue JT Rubicon out on the front line.

I have seen those which made me question the opportunity for the JL to have it again. My JK was Hydro Blue Altitude Edition.

I think Ocean Blue Metallic will have to go away before they offer another blue, but that wouldn't shock me either, it's been around for three years now.

Hydro Blue looks really nice on the JT!

I wouldn’t be opposed to HB or New Holland Blue (NHB) being offered on the JL.

AEV showcased a 2 door JL in NHB at SEMA 2018 and it was a knockout!

Here’s a HB Gladiator for comparison:

Hydro Blue looks a lot like my Lapis Blue '97 TJ. I love the looks of Hydro Blue. Hope it makes it on the color chart.

Lapis Blue had a bit too much of a purple hue in it:

Whereas the New Holland Blue is slightly lighter than Hydro Blue:

It was a long while ago for my Lapis Blue TJ. I see what you mean now that you posted a pic. I owned that Lapis Blue for about 15 years and never saw another one on the road.

Not many cars/trucks can get away with blue. Dealers refer to blue cars as "looser blue" because they usually are difficult to sell. A Wrangler is the one vehicle that can make Blue work. The only other car I like in blue is the 911 GT3 in Mexico Blue.

I could easily see myself driving a New Holland Blue or Hydro Blue Wrangler. And I am not usually a fan of blue.

I wouldn't expect Hydro Blue on the JL soon. Jeep mentioned the JL/JT not sharing certain colors. It's why Gobi Green didn't replace Mojito.

Hydro Blue is growing on me. I was originally looking at Ocean Blue but the purple undertone didn't quite sit well. I wish one of the local dealers had a hydro blue Gladiator so I could see it in person. Nevertheless, hydro blue is looking like my color of choice :fingerscrossed:

The color is pretty unique and changes under different lighting conditions. In addition to the hydro blue I posted above, here’s another good photo showing what it normally looks like:

I'm sold. Let the 2021 production gates open with the hope that "late availability" means September 2020 :please:
