Thought I would post my experience and solution.
After a dead battery and jump I was driving home. Stopped at a light and the 2018 jeep jlu cut off and would not restart. Tried jumping again and could not get the car started. Would not jump start. I guess the battery was really dead. I had it towed home.
The next day I replaced only the main battery with a new fully charged battery. I also charged the smaller secondary battery. Have not replaced the second battery yet.
The 2018 jeep JLU started normally. However, the HVAC unit would not come on. Pushing the auto button or any AC button the lights would not come on.
After researching this forum I checked for a bad fuse f32. Fuse was good.
The solution was to disconnect the positive post of the main battery and also disconnect the three wires connected to the body to the left of the main battery as in this thread to Kill 12v power.
Everything now works as expected.
